I think a lot of people don't appreciate the work that goes into selecting boards. Some people will think Walnut is Walnut, but I've spent an hour looking at walnut boards looking for the best one.

my first cross cut sled had T-slot, was made of nice plywood, hand shaped fence. I gave it to a friend who was getting started on wood working

My current cross cut sled is a pice of scrap plywood and a 4x6 screws to it lol.
