Hardknott Roman Fort was an amazing hidden little gem, I would love to go back and take the time to appreciate its scenery just as the Romans would have done.

Today in 27 BCE Roman emperor Octavian was granted the title of Caesar Augustus by the Roman senate; Becoming Rome’s first emperor, Octavian is best known for initiating the Pax Romana, a peaceful period of two centuries in which Rome imposed order and expanded its empire.

Today, approximately 2000 years ago in 49BCE, Julius Caesar defied the Roman Senate and crossed the Rubicon, uttering "alea iacta est" (the die is cast), signaling the start of a civil war which would lead to his appointment as Roman dictator for life.

Today i got to graduate, this was something I never thought I'd do but here I am, I've already started my MA and living life at 42 years old doing something I love doing day in day out.
