I'll be honest I feel like this is very misdirected. Many pundits and talking heads are defending him, but that's not the same as the Democratic party. The only prominent politician still vocally standing by him is (unfortunately) Bernie Sanders.

The Red Army made it to Berlin first because that was the combined strategic plan between the British, USA, and USSR. It was a pinser, and by the time they were going to win, they had set lines they would go to and stop at to make sure the German army was fully encircled and no one overextended
