LA is a great place for avid cyclists. Sure.
I’m talking about a culture of bicycling for non cyclists going to work and picking up groceries, etc on bikes. I’m scared to get on my bike for two blocks due to the crazies in my neighborhood.

Which part of LA? The drivers are crazy where I live. I know people who gave up commuting on bicycles after getting sideswiped. I’d love it, if it was safer.
