Yes, Tactics Ogre got the Reborn remake game recently (which was great), and Final Fantasy Tactics is getting a remake in the form of Ivalice Chronicles. However, both still have somewhat outdated graphics by comparison (to Fire Emblem). I hope more is done with both... 🙏

What's worse is Tactics Ogre was a Quest studio game originally, and Final Fantasy Tactics was made by Quest devs working for Square Enix. Square eventually bought out Quest studio and closed it. Now square has basically sat on both IPs... (1/2)

I've tried booting it in safe mode and removing it (to have it reinstall itself the next time it starts) which fixes it, but then the second time I turn it on it breaks. 🫠

I'm tempted to just install the base Intel graphics upgrade for it, but there are like a million warnings against doing so...

So far have dropped $70 on a newer SSD, $25 for a new lithium battery (so that hopefully I can make it through a lecture without needing to charge), plus 3x large USBs for my data copying... God this stinks
