Good choice! Don't miss reading The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms eventually, but this is a lovely book to layer in there, one of my favorites.

Having read the sequel, I thought I was prepared, but I was not. This was brutal and unputdownable. She was a prophet. #booksky 💙📚🪐
