The moon is at a radius of 380000km, or about 250000miles.
If we accept a single proclaimer is 500
miles, it takes two of them for a thousand, then the moon is a nice round 500 proclaimers away.

The walked 500 miles out, then back again. It was an overly dramatic act for the girl next door. They just expected a dramatic welcome at the romance of it all, but instead spent days hobbling due to blisters.

The Baby Eater of Bern statue is also worth seeing (a few mins walk away).
Also, there are some bears in an enclosure by the river.
Next to that enclosure is a bench with a statue of Einstein for cheesy selfies.
(I have been going to .CH every couple of years for about 20 years, physics reasons)
