I'm trying to get off of my beta blocker. This is how it's going so far. This is a day of normal activity like going out to eat, cleaning the house, etc. Resting heart rate is up and a few high rates, but no symptoms. No symptoms is the key to not having to take the beta blocker.

Ivan has been in this cone of doom for six weeks. Hoping the stitches come out and the cone comes off today, but we'll see what the vet says.

Our sweet #cat Ivan is having surgery tomorrow. This should solve the hematoma problem permanently. He'll have stitches for a couple of weeks and then hopefully we can go back to routine annual vet visits. He's not a fan of the frequent trips we've been making lately.

Ivan had a rough week. Double ear infections and this hematoma that had to be drained. He's healing well, but probably not well enough to avoid surgery. This was taken Monday before the vet appt. Despite medicated ear drops and ear cleaning at home, it's refilling with fluid. Surgery seems likely.

It still counts as a workout if you do it in your pajamas. Going upstairs and changing into different clothes seemed like too much work. That's reality some days.

He was kind enough to join me for my 6a.m. meeting. I'm going to join him for a nap now.
