I read a lot of SciFi in my teens, Asimov, Heinlein, LeGuin, etc. But when I was 14, Frank Herbert's Dune was like a revelation. Even though I like the two movie versions, they of course cannot even closely convey all the intellectual layers the books offer. Always worth a reread.
