#1: Ice over the post-surgical dressing is hard to overdo. Most likely you’ll have a thick layer of elastic (“Ace bandage”) over the whole knee. It’s really well insulated. Use BIG bags of ice over this. Drugstore reusable ice packs won’t cool your knee through that, not even a little bit.

#0: If you’re stuck in the US healthcare system, check your list of required equipment (compression cuffs, walker/cane, &c) and get them from some other source. Preferably not Scamazon. Drugstore or online costs will be a fraction of the insurance copay prices. Check local thrift stores.

The DNC should reorganize around Ms Crockett, Ms Duckworth, Mr Sanders, you, and those who work for the benefit of non-wealthy. Fight the broligarchs with every tool available. This could slow, and eventually reverse, the DNC’s culture of appeasement, pearl-clutching, and irrelevance.
