There's a path in Denmark called Øhavsstien 220km/137 miles long.
My sis and I are going to walk it within the next 3 years. Step by step.
Sis has been ill for a long time, now slowly recovering. Today we did our 4th bit, 16 km in sunshine but was happy for my boots as the path was a bit wet😀

Are you sure it's today?
We put these over the fire last Tuesday. And ate them then.

Although the chicken turned and turned I'm pretty sure it wont turn back today (hopefully not!)

"I dette øjeblik meddeles det, at Montgomery har oplyst, at de tyske tropper i Holland, Nordvesttyskland og i Danmark har overgivet sig. Her er London. Vi gentager..."

Ingen 4.maj uden frihedsbudskabet og lys i vinduerne.
Det er en dag, der er værd at fejre.

Watching a bit of U16 football in the sun before some Arsenal v PSG on the sofa.
I don't mind either of it tbh.
😀♥️⚽😀

Wonderful day:

Lovely weather.

I'm surrounded by the loveliest ppl.
Our son offered to mow the lawn. But our tractor broke down. Before he'd even finished telling me, our neighbour had arrived on his for him to borrow bc he had heard it break.

Laid the table,, good friends come for lunch tomorrow😊

A long story but my sis been ill for a long time, now slowly recovering.
Today we did our 3rd 13km bit. Lovely!

Engaged or not really bothered. Like football parents like football dogs😀

No more PL football on the sofa (or FA cup).
The U16's are back on grass and I'm back to being a "soccermom" 😉 (my 15th season, I think)

It's 3°C. But do you know what? With skipants, a travel mug with coffee and weather like this, I don't mind watching IRL football
☀️😎♥️☕⚽
Have a lovely weekend

It's "Fastelavn" (Shrovetide) on Sunday.
In 🇩🇰 you dress up, smash a barrel with a wooden club, eat the sweets hidden inside it. At my school also limbo dance + activity stalls. It's today. Many kids love it.

I've always hated it. Don't like being dressed up. And guess what.I'm having the day off☕😊

OK.

And then why is this called a "sydvest" in Danish (= southwest ... and is it called that in other languages as well...and south-west of what 🤔🙆😀???)

Your posts always provide new questions 🤷

Instead of watching the news for the next 4 years I'll just look at this, thank you very much.

We really don't have many words starting with z in Danish.
But "zebra", we've got that👍

Happy zebra day🦓😀

If you fancy an open kitchen... 😅

Haha.
It somehow makes me think of "Grill corner" near my place which is famously not REALLY on a corner.

These horses were stepping out on the frozen part of the puddle.

Came to think of the Danish saying: "Der er ingen ko på isen' (Literally: There is no cow on the ice).
But what is the English version of the expression?
Dictionary says: "Everything in the garden is lovely."

🤔Very British, that!😀

The big world is mad and sad atm. Wars, fires, the Greenland discussion...
But in my little world: Had great inspirational day with colleagues yesterday (lucky pupils), hb at home all weekend, the sun is finally out again and the days are slowly getting longer.
Hope you'll have a great weekend, too.
