Opinionated, frugal, well and truly grown out of any bios I’ve written since the dawn of social media. #Auspol
Because only a small handful of adults - often the worst in society - are on there.
The child social media ban was never about children - it’s about connecting adults IRL ID to their social media profiles to provide CCP style intelligence and oversight. Removing anonymity in political discourse.

Was he just being sarcastic? Making fun of the people who say there was no autism or ADHD when they were a kid?

Or is he genuinely that stupid.

It’s not expensive in Australia either. That’s a pretty run of the mill price for a workday lunch sandwich, and our PM grabbed a cheap street food lunch over a restaurant meal or brown bagging it which is apparently the only acceptable option for a left leaning advocate of raising the minimum wage.

Our Left Prime Minister in Australia bought a Bahn mi for $10 and copped 48 hours of front page news and algorithm saturation for being out of touch in a cost of living crisis 😂

Right leaning commentators will target the most ridiculous stuff.

I loved this show, such clever writing.

Palestine also needs all their hostages back.
They have released all living Israeli hostages which was always supposedly the action needed for everyone to lose interest in the war, but there are thousands more still languishing in Israelis jails.

I’m visiting Japan rn and every above knee skirt we look at has skorts sewn in and it’s glorious.
Japanese fashion has it sorted.

That pathetic sentence now becomes case law for future and past offenders to argue for weaker outcomes.

If this outrages you, please consider signing the petition for minimum mandatory sentences for DV murders which needs 20,000 signatures to be debated in parliament.

Goddamn was a slap in the face and a chilling caution for future rape victims and government employees.
I hope that woman never sleeps a good night again knowing that Australia now has all the nasty details.
August 27, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Fantastic. I’m assuming that the same will happen to Australia later this year when our age verification laws kick in?

Goddamnit now we’re going to be stuck with a monopoly of the large players.
August 23, 2025 at 12:59 PM
Id rather see them introduce the age verification measures on porn sites.
How ridiculous that an unsupervised teen will find it easier to access Pornhub than the Wiggles or some videos for school.

Kids will find unregulated ways around the ban and start to operate in the shadows.

This was such a train wreck. I honestly can’t imagine why Burrows set herself up to be associated with this.
Either it’s a tragic case of women never knowing when to say no, or she was deluded enough to think this would reflect well on her.
She’s represented other repulsive cases before though.

I’m just gobskacked by his argument that if he’s known the judge would find he had nonconsensual intercourse he would have provided different answers so deserves his appeal.
Like tacitly acknowledging the finding that sex occurred is true, but he would have argued the consent aspect 😳

Zali Burrows is such a pick me. I want to like her because I’ve been impressed in the past with some of her work, but her willingness to go THERE just leaves me disgusted.
August 21, 2025 at 4:52 AM
Zali got permission for him to sit at the bench. It’s usually only for Legal people.
The appeals courtrooms I’ve been in don’t have any designated place for appellants, who aren’t even required to be in the room.
I hope the judges slap him harder for this ridiculous argument.
August 21, 2025 at 1:28 AM
More than competent to face the appeals panel. She would have done it many times. Just not often facing down another silk, she was probably more often facing others of her calibre or lower. She’s an experienced criminal lawyer.
What was surprising was that Lehrmann got to sit at the front bench.
August 20, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Zali Burrows is a high profile lawyer. She just isn’t a silk which is what he wanted. Very few people can afford a silk and it shows how much he dreamt of getting from the networks. Believe she’s clocking off some pro bono hours for the exposure on this very visible case.

But also, this woman’s bar for “of concern” is significantly lower than the regular person.
It was never of concern to her that young girls were being exploited and assaulted.
August 7, 2025 at 8:48 AM
That is a surprisingly astute report by the young Libs. Maybe there is hope for them yet.

If they focussed on conservative budgets and small government policies instead of manufactured culture wars and creating fake enemies, they would have kept a lot of voters.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Maybe. But a farm that folds that quickly into a presidency already had issues that meant they couldn’t weather policy changes for even a few weeks.
The proof will be in the ongoing foreclosures, farms that couldn’t turn the tide of challenging financials due to Trump policies.
August 4, 2025 at 12:25 AM
They were 100% the instigators of the turn around.
August 4, 2025 at 12:23 AM
I think Trump has been as bad for the economy as any intelligent person, but farm foreclosures in the first quarter can be attributed to the previous administration. Nothing Trump did had an impact that fast on the finances of a farm.

Maxwell is about to get her reward for patiently incriminating no one all this time despite bearing the punishment on behalf of the entire network.
She’s going to implicate one (or a small handful) of people dispensable to the president (or his enemy) only and earn her pardon.
