Preview text: He tips his head back against the wall, taking the opportunity that the early morning silence is providing him to reflect on the sequence of events that have landed both men inside an overnight carriage to goddess-knows-where. Unsurprisingly, this was all Claude’s idea. What was surprising, however, was Lorenz’s willingness to go along with it. While Lorenz himself credits a great deal of that towards the fact that he has long since grown used to his partner’s seemingly reckless schemes, it took more than just that acknowledgement for him to agree to this spontaneous trip, not to mention its lack of a specific destination. Because even after five years together, Lorenz is still amazed at how much of his trust Claude would ask of him in order to accept this proposal with no other information attached. But Lorenz still gives Claude his full trust, without question. (Mostly because he knows better than to bother asking.)
