No rules dictate when officers should wear masks during arrests—but more are doing so, especially during immigration crackdowns. As tech makes doxxing easier, even plainclothes agents are covering up. If it’s a legal arrest, why hide your face? Meanwhile, the admin pushes mask bans on campuses.

Due process is the fundamental principle of legal fairness and justice, and is core to the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Under the Trump administration, however, due process protections for immigrants have been drastically eroded. Contact your elected officials!

More than 400,000 LEGALLY INNOCENT people in the U.S. are currently imprisoned awaiting trial. Most cannot afford cash bail, with the median bail bond for a felony costing more than $10,000. The average man in prison earned $16,000 annually and the average woman earned $11,000.

The fight against the death penalty had a win yesterday in Georgia as House Bill 123 was passed out of the Senate. If the House agrees to the edits, it will advance to Governor Kemp for signature. This critical legislation will protect those with intellectual disabilities from the death penalty.

The barbaric firing squad execution of South Carolina death row inmate Brad Sigmon sent another signal to the rest of the world that the U.S. remains on the wrong side of the death penalty. Sigmon chose the firing squad to avoid prolonged suffering, common with ineffective lethal injection drugs.

In Louisiana's first execution since 2010, Jessie Hoffman Jr. was recently put to death using nitrogen gas. This controversial method resulted in Hoffman's inability to practice meditative breathing, thus denying his religious freedom as a Buddhist. Read more... tinyurl.com/5cxbnu7z

Incarcerated people in U.S. prisons produce at least $2 billion worth of goods and $9 billion worth of services annually. This supply chain is almost impossible to track, with consumers buying “prison-made” products without realizing it. Forced labor (indentured servitude) remains legal in the U.S.
