Yesterday, I was joined by law enforcement to announce that a 3-judge panel ruled in favor of our office’s efforts to fight illegal gambling devices.

Since summer of 2022, we have seized more than 268 machines, $1 million in cash, and found ties to firearms and suspected money laundering.

Here are some more thoughts about jury duty. Some people don’t mind so much showing up, but they don’t want to be seated.

We often see jury selection depicted in media where a person expresses some issue with serving, and they’re dismissed.

But in reality, it’s not that easy.

Anytime a jury makes a decision deemed by some to be controversial, there are always questions about how the members of the jury were chosen.
