It’s wrong of you to use disabled people as the butt of the joke. I don’t give a flying fuck if you sit there and call him a fucking nazi who would murder every last one of his constituents for a stale peanut, or any other string of expletives. You can do that without insulting disabled people.

You actively are though. In insinuating that he LOOKS like someone with FASD as an insult, you are then using FASD traits and people as an insult. Its not that far off from using the R slur, or other derogatory terms, when disagreeing with someone.

There is a difference between polite politics, and turning disabled people into the butt of the joke. Attack his policies, don’t insult disabled people in an attempt to mock him. In doing so, you mock the disabled individuals in this district - why would they support you, if you think thats okay?

I met you after your speech and had planned to ask you additional questions in the hopes of volunteering for your campaign/supporting you, but I absolutely refuse to support a candidate who mocks people with disabilities, including through insinuation that their opponent has a disability.

I’m about as opposed to Tom Barrett as someone can be, and do plan on volunteering for his opposition, but insinuating he has a disability/developmental disorder like FASD is never okay. It’s insulting to people who actually live with those disabilities and turns them into the butt of the joke.
