You were never an easy dog. You barked at us as soon as you could. Excitement, playfulness, all the puppy things. Then you grew up and started guarding us. Not even a fly could enter the house Without you letting us know. Ever since you were a puppy, You’ve kept us safe. - We try to keep your energy low. We feed you, we play with you, we take long walks. It works for a bit, you quiet down. But you never stop guarding. You’re seven now, and we’re exhausted. We’re not giving up yet, we’re giving you another try. Bringing in another therapist and trainer. To try to calm you down, to make you easier. Unfortunately, you’re becoming dangerous. You can’t attack strangers or guests at our house. I know you can’t help it; it’s in your nature. You’re bred to guard, so you guard. I can’t imagine a world without you. And yet, I must brace myself for the potential of one. Because at the end of the day, you’re a dangerous animal. And we do need to treat you like one. You’re a bad dog, and I love you.
