A long time ago, my team and I wrestled with trying to delay printing of a story which would expose confidential informants. But we knew it was likely to be a tough hill to climb. We didn’t get it, but I’m shocked that a Mississippi municipality did. See the thread I’m reposting for the editorial.

I just want to note that for those wanting to call January 6, 2021, a “day of love,” insurrection is not love. Rioting isn’t love. What is love - it’s respect for the enduring traditions of this country. It’s respecting the rule of law. And it’s being a grown up when things may not go your way. #J6
