I love this. Science-fiction is a fantasy of science. Bits are borrowed from hypothesis and hope, but strung together by storytelling.
One of the fun things about writing sci-fi is if you strike the right tone, you can invent cool-sounding shit and show what it does without really going into how it works. Kinda like writing fantasy.
