"oh but he and kieran have purple hair and they all have yellow eyes!" i find more visual similarity between aaron and wally than i do corbeau and kieran i'm gonna be so real. the design language is completely different. when two characters are related pokemon are about as subtle as a brick

also going by jp he speaks kansai-ben and kieran speaks tohoku-ben. not to say that this doesn't happen but many things are used as shorthand to imply certain bits of lore and kansai-ben in pokemon is very much shorthand for "has a connection to johto"

a lot of this stems from that one annoying twt post about his name's alleged associated plant, which. for one. wasn't even the association they were making based on how his name gets localised. and two. sharing the same taxonomical order doesn't mean shit. cats and dogs share the same order.
