Fair enough, we’ll see. Not sure MDL suits the pivot role myself but the struggles at left wing back might necessitate Shaw going out there which would make sense.

Do you see Martinez in that central role? And most likely Shaw left of the 3? Makes the most sense to me. Think the squad is in OK shape if all keep fit. The big question marks for me are LWB and obviously the number 10 roles. Amad could prove a good choice for either. Rashford & Garnacho may suffer

Personnel wise I feel like his preferred team would look a lot different than what he put out today. Sadly some players didn’t grasp the opportunity and I think they’ll find themselves out of the team for Everton.
