135kg of apples 🍎 and pears 🍐
= 90 litres of juice + a nice afternoon 🙂

Glad to have such dedicated people keeping the old juice press going in the neighbouring village. It's a fun place to chat with people while everyone is eagerly waiting for their fresh juice from their own harvest 🌱

Actually we wanted to let the artichokes go to flower in their first season and only start harvesting next year. Wondering whether this artichoke, that was blown over by a storm, is still edible at this stage? Worth the effort for just one? 🤔🌱

End of holidays is much sweeter if you return home and have an evening walk through the overgrown jungle that is your garden, snacking fruit here and there and harvesting some fresh veggies for dinner 🌱🍅🍐🌿

We're launching #DemolitionAtlasEurope!

Across Europe, tens of thousands of buildings are demolished each year. This demolition frenzy has serious social & environmental implications, from enormous CO2 emissions and waste generation to rising rental costs and a loss of cultural heritage.

Finally built a solid (yet kinda easily removeable) trellis system for the tomatoes on our terrasse 🍅🌱
Will do some experiments with spacing and how to best train one or two stems upwarts before building a proper tomato shed in the garden one day...

papaya, pepper with edible leaves, a tiny cacao tree, pandan, yellow guava & a few other gems from the incredibly rich selection at www.jungle-leaves.de

Their greenhouse is literally filled to the roof with rare (sub)tropical plants, both crop plants and loads of cool ornamentals🤓

Paul's Himalayan Rambler Rose 🌹 doing it's thing, climbing and flowering like crazy. Planted two years go, already easily grew 7-8 meters since (supposed to reach 15m!), talking over the trellis aka the dead ivy that we cut back so it wouldn't further destroy the facade of the house🌱

Finally got the new perennial bed planted: several varieties of kale (including broccoli), salads, climbing spinach, walking onions, various chives and more. Planted quite densely between and underneath a small apple, a plum & a pear tree🌱
