And looking back at Berube's Blues tenure, STL had godawful xGF share figures every year after winning the cup. I just don't think his system of yelling and screaming for north-south hockey is conducive to possession, and ultimately to winning.

I really think its Berube's system. The team's xGF% went from 51.99% in 2023-2024 (Keefe's final year) of around 51.99% (5on5, SVA per NST, good for 10th in the NHL) to 48.83% (23rd in the league) in 2024-25. Goalies papered over a lot of issues last season.

Going into today, Chicago's 5on5 SVA xGF% is 44.62%. Their PDO is 1.044.
I'm *real* skeptical that they are out of the bottom 5 by year-end.
