Much of what we face today results from reorganization of federal LEAs with the creation of the DHS. Beyond org charts agencies’ sense of purpose changed from LE to defending against foreign enemies. It will take more than redrawing those charts to fix this.

Yeah, I’ve never accepted that it was inflation. Too many were just simply looking for an excuse to throw a tantrum.

My dad worked on nuclear weapons in the AF. I always wondered why he got called out sometimes in the middle of the night muttering “I got to go turn them back on.”

What we should marvel at is how successful our institutions once were at constraining marginal personalities. In the end pathology always trumps intellect, pun intended.

The American Grocers Association has long lobbied to close commissaries. It’s being studied again and this could give them an excuse to shutter DCA.

I never really gave it much thought till I worked on a project where we used a cooperative extension facility. I talked to a lot of farmers there. That they could name the farmers who had “sold out” as they phrased it makes me think otherwise.

Some immigration enforcement would have to occur in the interior. Many over stay visas. Some employer investigations would still be necessary. Much of that would be regulatory but some would be criminal.

Going back to hunting and gathering is an option. That would certainly reduce expenditures on GLP-1 agonists.

There are 3 Virginias, the urban crescent, western Virginia, and West Virginia. Republicans believe the less populated western counties should control all of VA.
