"O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon, /That monthly changes in her circled orb, /Lest that thy love prove likewise variable."
My Wheelhouse attendance has been spotty.
Moving house (and all that entails) has kept me away from the mud.
Escrow means I can get back in it!

A GD marching bear incense burner; 2 bisqued pieces; my newest piece, the 'bee bath'.

For me, it's pretty much the only thing top-of-mind right now.

I have broken free from my stamp obsession! Yay!

So, you know when you try to replicate a shape and it's just not the same? Yeah, it feels like that.
But it's also something new; one shift here or there and it becomes the shape you didn't know you wanted.

Point Fermin / San Pedro

Near where my mother's ashes were placed at sea 21 months ago.

So I am here to have a picnic under a tree that just dropped a comically large sewing needle-shaped piece of bark on my blanket.

My mother was a seamstress.

These two monarchs joined mid air then landed on a valley oak branch. They were motionless for so long, then I turned, turned back, and they were gone.

Creatively, I sense I'm evolving; but this is some awkward phase where I'm not sure if I'm making flower petals or finger phalanges ☠️

A not-spinning image of my floppy vase ⚱️

First time sitting at the wheel in over a year. So awkward.

Prodding this vessel into existence felt like learning to drive a stick shift.

I call it "Collared Vase with Mutant Sunflower".

I think we all know what happened. No need to discuss ⚱️

My Diplacus (Mimulus) aurantiacus
Sticky monkeyflower bloomed!

Yesterday afternoon, I was in the middle of a mood; then, the surprise of color.

And, BAM, Nature saves the day, again 🌼 🏵 🌼 🏵

Mooncroning at the Wheelhouse
and finished with all the balls on the previous piece!

This bowl is made from various bits and bobs mixed today.

I'm coming to the end of my stamping days. The clay scraps confirm it.

Tuesday at the Wheelhouse

Feel like 😵‍💫 after rolling like 1M tiny balls, but I'm getting excited for the potential glaze effects on all those nooks and crannies!

Not finished yet, though...

My mother's orchid. Someone brought it to her bedside while in hospice.

She's been gone 21 months now.

I've been on Bloom Watch - it happened overnight!

Stoked! Sort of.

I learned lessons from this piece, and that's what I need.
And it does hold these pretty pink carnations.

Anticipation!

Today would be my brother's 66th birthday. He died at 33.
This light is on my altar in his honor.
He loved the ocean, so, shells like a beach sunset.
