I agree the need is to move away from fossil fuel. The idea that the high cost will encourage cheaper renewable sources doesn't help those that are suffering right now though.

This is more than one newspaper, this is billionaire lead media, in all it's forms, suppressing our voice and telling us what to think.

Prices could be lower though.
Individual company profits:
BP: £9.5 billion in UK profit since 2020.
SSE: £22.5 billion in UK profit since 2020.
EDF: £8 billion in UK profit since 2020.
British Gas: £750 million in profits for 2023, a tenfold increase from 2022, largely due to recovering past losses

But none of his colleagues were in anyway involved, honest guv.
November 22, 2025 at 8:27 AM
It's inconceivable that some of his colleagues were not also tied up in this scandal. I suggest we start asking questions.

It's almost as if the Lords think the Commons are going to use this particular legislation to bump them all off.

Whilst the Queen sat alone at her husbands funeral and relatives watched the passing of loved ones through the windows of care homes.

You'd get a bigger turnout for the flat earth society. They're not worth reporting on.

I have heard rumours going around that secretly Nige is a different man now and spends much of his time helping those less fortunate at The Open Kitchen.

The latest proposals do not sit well with me. They feel too much like siding with the RW in order to claw a few votes back rather than the compassionate policies I would expect of Labour. I'm hoping to be proven wrong when full details are revealed later.
November 17, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Facing these misguided opinions regularly doesn't make it any easier, not to grab them by the shoulders and give them a good shake.
November 17, 2025 at 8:45 AM
Full details to be released later. I'll judge on that, though I've not felt good about what has already been said.
November 17, 2025 at 8:38 AM
It is definitely being used as a tool by the RW to cause division. Whether Putin can be blamed is perhaps questionable. It helps him, but I'm not sure it's because of him. I am, though disappointed, that Labour has chosen to buy into this rhetoric, though.

I think the media are just jumping on the odd off the cuff remark made over a few free drinks. Deliberately guided journalism.
November 16, 2025 at 9:51 AM
Absolutely, this appears to be more a case of a media lead campaign as opposed to a political one.
November 16, 2025 at 9:36 AM
The Daily Mail is now just a propaganda rag for the far right.

November 15, 2025 at 11:17 AM
Is this more unsubstantiated rumour ?
November 15, 2025 at 10:26 AM
History undeniably shows us this isn't true. All this shows is how the media are twisting things and people are too lazy to fact check anything.
