The massif rises above Žabljak, with 48 peaks over 2,000 m, the highest being Bobotov Kuk (2,523 m). Shaped by intense glaciation, the landscape is filled with cirques, valleys, and sharp ridges, while the Tara Canyon — the deepest in Europe — forms part of the same mountain system.
