Apparently City voters don't share Bob Clark's enthusiasm.
March 2, 2025 at 4:16 PM
You've touched on a big reason why I'm voting just for Butler this round.
February 27, 2025 at 3:24 PM
So, it doesn't matter whether any of this is feasible from a business or finance perspective? Journalism shouldn't be so credulous.

I too am considering investing.

Hey, the P-D picked up the story. Kelsey Landis reporting.

Kirchner fights back against Public Eye, Inc. and "the new Sheriff in town."

Kirchner's supporters are saying that the photos of Kirchner in his uniform at neighborhood meetings were taken before Kirchner was a candidate for alder.

I wouldn't put it past Richard Callow's former Public Eye, Inc. colleague #AlderAnne to play dirty, misleading politics like this.

Great to see the region's representatives on both sides of the river working together.

On Twitter, you RTed erstwhile Callow girl Friday #AlderAnne Schweitzer's spin. Here are the responses:

awesome of bob to bring together 200 freezing business leaders to give Cara Spencer half a mill when you could have easily given that money to the homeless shelters

Looking forward to the future release of more audio. I suspect that will be closer to the April election day. bsky.app/profile/mttf...

No one who was paying attention is surprised.

Also, it's kind of satisfying to see the tables turned on your buddy Richard with regard to surreptitious recordings.

Thank you and @ryankrull.bsky.social for covering this. Something like 2/3rds of the money raised for Cara Spencer's campaign has come from Bob Clark and friends. Meanwhile, Spencer says it's "insulting" that anyone would wonder whether there are strings attached to these massive donations.
February 19, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Can't you just hire canvassers with all of that Bob Clark money, or do the consultants have dibs on that?
February 19, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Speaking of Ald. Spencer's voting record, perhaps you can ask Spencer why she was one of 8 yes votes on Board Bill 37, which dramatically expanded the scope of the North Side grant program and caused the problems. Spencer blames SLDC, but not her enabling vote. www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/c...

I don't know whether Spencer is for sale, but I AM old enough to remember when Spencer opposed Paul McKee and Lambert privatization. Now Spencer is ultra-cozy with McKee's Northside Regeneration business partner & major Lambert privatization booster Bob Clark.

Does Spencer have ANY principles?

What's wrong with an approval vote for Michael Butler?
February 18, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Cara Spencer 2.0's relationship with Bob Clark et al is really starting to feel like a revival of "The Mayor's Money Machine" during the Vince Schoemehl era. Don't forget that Spencer has often been described by #STL media to be Schoemehl's protégé. #sameplaybook

Butler says he supports more frequent and fare-free bus service. Spencer says she supports bus rapid transit.

What small chance the MetroLink Green Line proposal had of getting funding under a Harris-Walz administration is now zero under a Trump-Vance administration. Time to move on, STL leaders.
