Just found out #UWS staple of 20+ years and my local go-to bakery Silver Moon is closing March 23. It's sad when rent is so high small businesses cannot stay & we're left w/ McDonald's and weed shops. Shakespeare & Co right on the same corner is closing too. Here's how we're looking rn

This is like going to a stranger’s home, burning it down on purpose, then pretending you care about their safety. Also, if Gaza is “not a place for people to be living,” why are you going to turn it into some f’ed up version of Mar a Lago? Truly a despicable human being with zero empathy

Just read @crivera.bsky.social's heartbreaking and stunning essay in @thecut.com that ties the tragedy of a wild-caught, captive orca (and our failure of her) to society's violence against women. So many parallels in how we justify certain behavior and/or look the other way. This paragraph broke me
