Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA), the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, has died. Connolly, 75, defeated 35-year-old Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a 131-84 vote in December to become the ranking member of the committee. He announced in April that his esophageal cancer had returned.
