Despite what the bill’s supporters claim, true secularism doesn’t seek the erasure of religion from the public sphere, but protects religious minorities from any state-imposed religion.

“The objective of our secularism law is not to go as far as possible (with rules). “We will do a law that is ambitious, but moderate.”

Calling any of this “moderate” is an insult to Quebecers’ intelligence.
