Hi Erik, I’m Marie and I would like to be added to the feed. I do mitochondrial DNA variant research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. I’ve been the curator of the Mitomap.org database since 1996. My ORCID ID is orcid.org/0000-0003-20...
Thanks!

Count me in, too. I’ve had my SeeStar for a year now and love it!

I would be interested in that!

And in case you’re wondering, I attached the CaK-line filter to the Seestar S50 with an adapter at the end of a 3D-printed dew shield, all underneath some Baader Astrosolar film for optics protection.

The filter is an old model 1.25” Baader CaK-line filter (8nm pass, 390-398nm) purchased many years ago from either Agena Astro or B&H PhotoVideo. A “GenII” version of this Baader K-line filter is available from many astro shops. Alpine Astro also makes a CaK-line filter now.

I’m an Observing Program Director and Master Observer with the Astronomical League. I enjoy imaging the sun and occasionally do some nighttime astrophotography. I also am outreach coordinator for our local astronomy club.
