2) staging a coup of any sort is repugnant to anyone in a US uniform. The reason the military is still among the most trusted institutions is because of this principle. Now, as a veteran, I'd like nothing more than to perform a citizen's arrest on this fruitcake and haul him before a tribunal.

1) It's a nice fantasy, but as a former career Air Firce officer I can tell you it CANNOT be the military who does this. It MUST be a domestic law enforcement arm, and here's why: the rule of civilian control over the military is baked into every one of us from enlistment forward. The very idea of
