Insane that this is from 2021. I would have sworn Flimsy Steve has haunted my brain for at least a decade.

Between this and the letterboxd list you're killing it today!

That should say "contingent" instead of component.

Eero Saarinen used to be super common in crosswords (that's how I know him), but there's a big component of crossword solvers that might not know him since the NYT hasn't used the architect to clue EERO since 2019.

@anthonymoser.com Slightly different from your normal Kirby framework, but we have:
Trump: the new kickoff rules suck b/c of some reason
Negation: yada yada
Kirby/Dave Stoub: He doesn't even know what he's looking at. He has no idea what's going on. So I'm going to take that for what it's worth.

AMC River East showed Oppenheimer on 70mm. But I think Nolan is the only they'll do that for - OBAA was digital only, for example.

I think he already was. Indiana's basketball coach "only" makes $5 million.

It's great. When it ended my only disappointment was that it wasn't 30 minutes longer.

The waived convenience fee is only for paid tiers of Stubs. But I paid $9.23 in person for tickets last night. I was comparing apples to oranges earlier, but that's still a ~17% increase over the previous $7.84 in person price.

What would it cost at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago?
July 8, 2025 at 3:39 AM
It may be that if I hit purchase the convenience fee will be waived and the price will drop, but I still don't see how that leads to the previous price of $7.84.
July 8, 2025 at 3:33 AM
An equivalent ticket to what I posted earlier would cost me $12.73 at the AMC Lincoln Square in NYC.
July 8, 2025 at 3:29 AM
I don't know if this $11.68 price includes waiving the convenience fee.
July 8, 2025 at 3:23 AM
This is a big increase in price for Tuesday showtimes. Previously evening 2d showtimes were all $7.84 after tax in Chicago. Tomorrow, the cheapest film I see is $11.68.

Around 20% of Pace stops I've waited at say "text pace ____ to 41411" and don't have the sticker with the stop number.

They used it to call my dad a taxi in 2019. I don't know if they still use it.
