A hybrid card can be thought of as "White OR Blue", but that's only for casting. Its mana payment is the quantum state, not the card identity itself. A hybrid Azorius card can be killed by a Red Elemental Blast, which means it's Blue. A Blue card cannot be used in a non-Blue Commander deck.

Not about grasping, more like giving cards to other colors that need it.
Gilder Bairn was an ok Simic hybrid card that mono Green could have benefited from 17 years ago. Now, Green has plenty of those counter adding effects.

Haven't seen the video yet, but we're way past caring about hybrid as a singular color option. Don't do it. It is what it is.
I only care about color symbols within the textboxes (off-color kicker as an example). THOSE should be opened up to the singular colors.

Not necessary, it just means that it could be "fracturing realties", like Renowed Weaponsmith allowing you to grab different cards of different timelines.
