Not necessarily during combat but my shop has show me that when I get a good card I look at the "camera" and say its a mystery mouse ka tool that will help is later.

Maybe in a world where people dont do the "just get a keepable seven" mulligan but most time people get more chances to get a good hand.

Honestly depends on the deck for me. I personally dont think there is a hard and fast rule for how many lands you have to run but I definitely adjust my decks more than the average person.
That said if that say thats how many they would like to run don't push and just let it go.
