I'm starting to believe our kids are just simmering away on the stove in pots of water.
We are walking by sprinkling salt and pepper and not realizing we're just turning the heat up while they boil over.
When I wasn't busy doomscrolling, I decided to write about it.

Opinion | A viral high school trend is turning up the heat. Let this be the holiday we finally take a break.
School is letting out and anxiety is spiking. Maybe it’s time to stop “liking” everyone else’s family plans and start loving our own.

Teenagers strolling at sunset along the seawall in Galveston circa 1980. This is such a nostalgic scene for me. Who remembers Hill's? I think there's a Joe's Crab Shack there now. If you close your eyes and listen REAL closely, you'll hear "Call Me" by Blondie playing in the background. 😜
