Assuming I count every incarnation of my Orbea HT as one bike I've only done a CX race on three other bikes: said HT, a redline monocog and Keenan's Boone.

I always dismount unless they tell me I don't need to. I had someone once ask me to keep talking. They said a person on a bike doesn't look like a person to them(the horse) so they don't understand what they are seeing.

Donut or SS? I have a little regret not signing up for the elite since it won't be raining but I think starting back row of a 60 rider field I belong in will be more fun than a 45min solo time trial trying to not get lapped

They definitely didn't 15 yrs ago. I remember getting stuck between Ashland and Southborough because the train had no traction. Had to wait for the next train to push us.

80 miles out to NoHo a few weeks ago and I don't think I drank two bottles. This time of year the only time I want to drink on the commute is if I forgot the bottle.
