Manhiça Tuberculosis Initiative.
Working towards improving TB control through the development of new diagnostic tools, treatments & vaccines.
We are a team based in between Barcelona at @isglobal.org and Manhiça @manhica_cism
During World Science Day for Peace and Development, Dr. Dinis Nguenha from CISM shared that using the #Truenat portable molecular diagnostic system enabled 82% of TB patients to start treatment on the same day of diagnosis, improving care and reducing delays!

TB isn’t a disease of the past — it’s still one of the world’s top infectious killers (WHO, 2024).
❌ Not limited to certain countries
❌ A positive test ≠ contagious
✅ TB is curable, but stigma + myths slow progress.
