I think you would have to examine all the data to determine what happened. By far dissatisfaction with the economy seemed to be the problem. Plus, male minority voters were the biggest shift. While not racial, one can’t discount a bias against a female candidate. But that’s just my opinion.

Besides it seems it is generally only British journalists that are sufficiently brave to challenge those in power. At least in today’s world.

Just once, I’d like to see a journalist, whether the one attacked or a bystander, say something like “Piss off you orange tinted ass. Grown up and treat people in a civil manner, you whacked prick.” But in a measured tone of course.
