By the time anything meaningful might get done, our electoral college and gerrymandered legislature will make it easy for the public to get annoyed that things didn't get fixed overnight and they'll start electing the party that broke it in the first place again.

A ton of legislation and a ton of acceptance of responsibility from a party that has shown for at least two or three decades now that they have no interest in doing.

There is so much shit going on with this administration, I doubt anything more than a small percentage of those who should face consequences ever will and this is assuming they have any plans of holding real elections going forward.

Easy. Just throw people off the voter rolls. Manipulate how ballots are counted. I wouldn't be surprised to see ICE circling polling locations in the name of "election security".

I can verify that escalators do have safety stop mechanisms. One of my random childhood memories is from when I was at an age where I had to jump off of everything. I leapt from about eight or nine "steps" up and did indeed stop the elevator at Lazarus. Mom was at that "scary" level of anger.
