@playtowinmtg.bsky.social does some of my favorite content. It's insightful and educational while also being entirely earnest and true to itself.

I've especially enjoyed post-con episodes, where I learn so much more about rollercoasters than I ever thought I would!

"We don't have any more ideas, so therefore there are no new ideas, so...AI"

This is not the quality argument you think it is.

I have no doubt uou all skip over 1000s of ideas a week because they would upset your advertisers.

You don't want new ideas, you want money.

I graduated with a Bachelors in English and I'm not sure I ever fully finished an assigned book.

I love to read for pleasure - but reading as an assignment was never something I could do.

made tokens, Black made Zombies and forced sacrifice, Red was damage and destruction, etc.

And at the beginning of each game I'd randomly select one package to get added to the deck. So the core was always the same, but the road to winning was always changing!

I wanted to say something witty about man/mana and magic but nah, your point is too important as it is.

I'd wager you're also not arguing in good faith.

Not actively condemning something is not the same as condoning it. And your argument thusly is a logical fallacy. Whether or not it's intentional is the question.

if the headline of the article was worded to attempt to derive division among readers, and not be faithful to the substance of the argument (which is unfortunately all too common in modern journalism, as editors often add titles afterward) then it's worth noting.

And if you can't recognize that

It's completely fair to criticize the structure of the argument if it's being wrapped in bad faith.

If someone in the Obama admin called for a 'double tap' strike in order to increase the magnitude of injuries, then it could certainly be argued as a war crime and should be treated as such.

But

The people who built the system, designed one that meets how they function. While I don't believe it was initially nefarious, the people that benefit from the system have shown a strong desire to perpetuate it.

And it goes way beyond financial systems. Societal functions are an inherent hurdle.

I've always made note of whenever Trump has given the answer of '88' to something. Happens too often to be random.
