I’ve talked to some friends and they were also prescribed gabapentin, for all different conditions. I’m working on weaning off it, there are dangers there as well

I was prescribed gabapentin to offset the discomfort of neuropathy, which was caused by harsh cancer treatments. Been reading that gabapentin interferes with the chemical communication between nerves and brain. It works to relieve discomfort. But I think I need that communication for other things

Looks like my copy paste went backwards
I’m recovering from that and feeling stronger again. Bright side is it did drop one of those markers (M-protein) by more than half. So I continue on. That’s how I’m doing

My legs, ankles hands started swelling, skin drying up and flaking everywhere, blood pressure dropped, gain 16 pounds in 2 weeks. Dr says looks like you’re having an adverse reaction to one of these new medications, well duh, so they stopped everything on September 11

Well, thought I was getting stronger. But a few months ago Dr saw in my blood work a couple of “markers” that were ticking up, not a lot but the trend was up. So he decided to hit me hard with a new treatment. For a month and half I was having infusions weekly, plus a specialty pill taken daily.

My dr gave me a prescription to prevent shingles while going through these treatments, from what I’ve heard it’s not something I want to experience
