Alternative take, people don’t love car play but they love an entertainment system UI that works.

It’s amazing just how bad, especially legacy US automakers, are at making software.
Few features are more beloved by drivers than Apple CarPlay. Enjoy it while you still can, writes Patrick George.

This security hole can crash billions of Chromium browsers, and Google hasn't patched it yet
Edge, Atlas, Brave among those affected Exclusive  A critical, currently unpatched bug in Chromium's Blink rendering engine can be abused to crash many Chromium-based browsers within seconds, causing a denial-of-service condition – and, in some tests, freezing the host system.…

Tons of photos to go through after my Seattle and Chicago trips. I almost never look at my photos in camera while I’m shooting so I’m excited to see what I got.

Proposition: You become a writer the moment you write, a musician the moment you make music, a painter the moment you paint, etc. You become an artist the moment you find your own voice as a writer/musician/painter/etc.

Yes? No?

This is something that has been nagging me for a while. LLMs are lauded for their ability to summarize documents but it’s never been clear to me just how accurate the summaries are.

Is probabilistic accuracy something you really want in a document summary?

If Max somehow pulls off this comeback for his 5th WDC I think it seals the fact that he’s the GOAT in F1.

Not even room for a “he had a dominant car” qualifier. Just the undisputed GOAT

I don’t recognize this Bears team (in a good way).

So used to choking on national television and then absolutely crapping the bed against teams we should beat.

Defense looked killer today, offense still growing. Things are looking up.

🌶️ take: the T1 incident was ultimately down to Lando messing up his start. If he gets a better start none of the carnage in T1 happens

Really excited about the nvidia dgx spark. It's cool hardware that has some really good inference performance in a form factor that fits easily in a home.

People need to be able to run powerful models on their own hardware and this seems like a really accessible step forward for that.

Haas being the “American” F1 team is always kinda funny to me.

They have done so little to engender support from the new American audience that doing special liveries at the USGP feels a bit hollow.

To put a fine point on it, I see more ads for Max and Red Bull in the US than Haas.

i think the only way for atproto to succeed is for us to show what apps can do when every app sees every other app's public data, and they share an identity system. no technical or sociological argument is as convincing as seeing seamless interop and the lighthearted competitive landscape it unlocks

The further along in my career I get the more strongly I feel that people need to use the Fork button more.

So much conflict in open source could be avoided if the first step to taking a major dependency was forking it.

Own the code you depend on regardless if you wrote it or not.
