So their tactics or the optimism of their end-goals. Whereas the right has clearer goals and those are mostly: I wish to impose a form of hateful and restrictive Christianity on everyone in this land mass and we want to segregate the races and subjugate our women.

The problem with having a genuine moral stance is that the rigidity of that stance must be upheld by that person to feel like it is genuine. The problem is that the right doesn't care about morality or ethics, they bend whichever way let's them win. Power is the end goal and that's why they win.

I feel so hopeless sometimes. How do you win against an enemy that has zero qualms about just lying and "what-abouting" - I don't see how you do it.

The only reason physical is superior is because of corporations a) not respecting our ownership and b) being wasteful and irresponsible with regards to the internet as a whole. Physical copies will degrade and become unusable, upkeep will be expensive, collectors drive up prices, plastic shit will..

Something doesn't age well when the people who were making whatever piece of art that has problematic elements didn't understand that they were being problematic. It's like saying "Just read A Modest Proposal, boy, that didn't age well."

There is rarely an outsider within the narrative that comes in to say why these people and what they're doing is horrible, it's implicit and unspoken that whatever these people are saying is always wrong and the opposite of how the writers feel.

The whole show is about how our main characters are despicable, vile, narcissistic, self-obsessed, insane and cruel human beings. Think a group of Eric Cartmans/Archie Bunkers on steroids. If you're not on board with that, then jump ship now. Because that's the entire point.

Yes, that's true. I didn't have a good role model growing up, my own mother was a generally kind person but she was also very credulous. She didn't believe we landed on the moon or that that evolution was real, for example. And I had no father figure. So, for me, it's more complicated.

It exists but it's subjective. For me, what it means to be a man is different than what it means to the liver king. I don't feel the need to hunt elk with my bare teeth or whatever. I imagine my masculinity involves things like honor, trustworthiness, honesty, kindness, curiosity, and moral courage.
