Remember, the national parks welcome everyone.

Focusing on the Dodgers postseason run really brought us comfort and much needed distraction. We both love this team very much and watching them win it ALL lifted our spirits. I was at all games in LA except for game 2 vs the Mets and I just kept sharing pictures & videos with him.

Luckily we found a great team of doctors and now we'll also be working with City of Hope. I'd never even heard of multiple myeloma. Recently, Charlie Steiner also talked about his diagnosis with MM and as we read his interview so much of what he experienced sounded so familiar.

The Dr. who delivered the news about cancer to my significant other did it in such an uncaring manner. He gave him a pamphlet told him read this you have it. I was surprised he delivered the news to him as he suffering from delusions. I honestly thought that conversation w/the Dr. was in his mind.

Had our first appointment with City of Hope on Wednesday. It was such a nice experience from the moment we arrived till the end of our visit. Very courteous, helpful, and kind ppl. The team of doctors we've seen who referred us to City of Hope, have all been kind & thoughtful.

I've spent my Saturday between doing laundry, snuggling with my dogs, and watching Dodgers post season highlights.

I wrote this on my whiteboard the day after the Dodgers won the World Series and it's still up there. We do update the date. My colleague asked when I'd erase my board & I was like not in the forseeable future. It's up there for the long haul. It makes me happy.
