Godspeed, Ozzy, and thank you for never letting Rock and Roll die.

I was fortunate to see Ozzy a few more times over the years, including the last Black Sabbath tour ("The End"). I watched the amazing "Back to the Beginning" tribute and farewell concert live stream a couple of weeks ago. Despite his physical limitations, Ozzy seemed so vibrant at that last concert.

My favorite song was easily, 'You Can't Kill Rock and Roll.' ( music.youtube.com/watch?v=TGgE... )

I always thought of Ozzy as a heavy metal hippie. Really listen to songs like Crazy Train, Revelation (Mother Earth), War Pigs, Killer of Giants and more, and you'll see what I mean. I even wrote a college paper comparing Ozzy's song 'Thank God for the Bomb' to Dr. Seuss's "The Butter Battle Book."
