If they take it out at 18 they will pay hefty tax bills

He's upset with attacks being carried out on their territory.

I think that's reasonable tbh

I agree it is Ming Vase strategy.

But we could slowly use tighter integration to cut taxes, the cost per penny is:

All tax rates: £8.5
Lower rate only: £7bn
NI: £4.6BN

Theres allegedly a £90bn Brexit shaped, That's how you sell it to gammons I feel, slowly reintegrate, then give them the money

Fall guy?

I'm sure the Presidential pardon is already in the post, as is plenty of hush money and psuedo-deification in the eyes of MAGA
December 1, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Two superpowers?!

Which?
December 1, 2025 at 11:14 PM
(not a fan of Starmer)

I choose to interpret it as he is slowly moving the needle.

If he comes out and says "we are rejoining" then there would be uproar

A better way is to secure better terms and let people SEE the benefits of rejoining, perhaps by cutting the tax burden, then integrate more.

It's also worth noting that many of the countries with these "Agreements" have never had them pass their parliament/legislature unlike ICC commitments

If push ever came to shove the legal process in their country would should see a US citizen arrested on an ICC warrant

US Citizens aren't special.
December 1, 2025 at 9:09 AM
That's not how Article 98 works it's not unilateral, it's a provision to respect other bilateral agreements, the US has around 100 of those, mostly with countries it strongarmed into them with the threat of aid withdrawal

goodtimesweb.org/diplomacy/20...

And as outlined, may not work in practice.

Not always with the consent of the US

Even the USEmbassy.Gov website explains that whilst in a foreign country you are subject to that countries laws.

That would include ICC oversight.
December 1, 2025 at 8:51 AM
And in this hypothetical situation he isn't in the US where US law applies.

US law does not supercede European law in Europe.

If he was under an arrest warrant and lands in say France he would be arrested.

That's how that works, we aren't beholden to the US and increasingly resent its actions
November 30, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Possibly American exceptionalism and a false sense of global leadership and respect for the US

Rather than the realisation we are all de-coupling ourselves as fast as possible
November 30, 2025 at 11:33 PM
And in this hypothetical situation where Hegseth has an arrest warrant and has arrogantly gone to an ICC country and been allowed entry rather than turned away at customs

It would probably be done regardless, The US has gone backwards rapidly and isnt seen as a leader or even a reliable ally now.

Him being in a cabinet position wouldn't matter, if they accuse him of war crimes and he becomes a war criminal.

The same way members of Israel's cabinet can't travel to ICC countries, and is the main reason America haven't really signed up to it. Imagine if they actually had to arrest netanyahu.
November 30, 2025 at 7:40 PM
If he lands in an ICC country he would be arrested, and I don't think whoever the next president is will invade Europe to retrieve him

In fact I don't think even trump will be that stupid

We are very lucky to have the NHS,

But it's horrifically broken at the minute, one year ago I tore two ligaments in my ankle and I'm STILL waiting for surgery. And I wouldn't have got this far if I hadn't gone private for my MRI.
November 30, 2025 at 9:12 AM
No but, that doesn't mean it can't issue arrest warrants for your citizens.
November 30, 2025 at 12:24 AM
How many empty jailcells do they have?

Not enough for even 5% of the population would be my guess
November 30, 2025 at 12:22 AM
It's all a vanity project because neither of them want to fall in behind the leader of the greens.
November 28, 2025 at 4:57 PM
The only difference being the God-emperor didn't want to be a god, whereas Donny actively encourages his deification
November 27, 2025 at 10:56 PM
Even as a union representative i actually agree day 1 is excessive.

We don't want a situation where companies are scared to hire people, but the compromise is also a bit too long, 3 months would have been the sweet spot in my opinion
November 27, 2025 at 8:29 PM
I'm no fan of labour, but if you want a different sort of politics and society perhaps just saying "well done" when a good policy is enacted might be the first steps?

"Well done on ending the two child benefit cap"

It isn't hard, and it's the kind of society we should want.
November 27, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Ironic.
November 26, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Konates problems stem from Slots bizarre tactical changes.

Gone is the quick transition and high energy football.

Instead we play a ponderous possession game that has us push up so high the defence are left horribly exposed to the counter.

And the results it's caused have crashed morale
November 26, 2025 at 11:17 PM
Kinda works here though..

Xenophobic, authoritarian, fascist, eugenicist, cult
November 25, 2025 at 10:09 PM
The irony of him being the wh40k god-emperor is probably lost on him?

A corruption filled galaxy spanning, xenophobic, authoritarian fascist empire
