No Patty left behind!
Considering citizens have been detained and flights are being delayed due to FAA staffing issues, I'm not sure how safe travel is for anybody. I'm definitely sticking very close to home.

And manufacturing. Had we been willing to pay a little bit more for American made years ago, we might have more American products that don't cost 2x or more compared to the imported ones.

Personally, I've always found Walmart and Amazon to be worse. Walmart forced MANY small businesses out, which is why there almost isn't an option in some places. Overall, I recommend people put effort into shopping small local business in general.

Are folks also boycotting Walmart and Amazon and just not talking about it as much? If not, why is Target worse?
April 26, 2025 at 6:14 AM
What sort of things are you needing? I haven't shopped at Walmart or Amazon in a few/several years and I'm not sure I was going to Target more than 3 or 4 times a year.

I view it as the obvious next step of an agenda that they've been working on for 50+ years. They were allowed to get way too much traction. It's unfortunate that people overlooked it for so long and are now shocked.

Not being contacted after an interview is maddening! I took time to drive to your face-to-face interview and then ghost me? This started being a thing over a decade ago and I believe it's just getting worse. Just tell me you went with someone else.

I'm not sure why anyone would think they are safe. At some point, we're all in the cross hairs. veteranspolicy.org/post/cutting...
Cutting VA Suicide Prevention Services is a Fatal Mistake - Veterans Healthcare Policy Institute (VHPI)
During a recent speech for the American Legion, VA Secretary Doug Collins criticized the billions spent on VA suicide prevention efforts, noting that the yearly veteran suicide number — roughly 6,500 ...

Compared to companies that say, "We're family here," and treating workers like a number, at least they're being brutally honest.

An individual tried to frame it as creating opportunity for young people. Companies were unlikely to change their current policies. Parents would protect their kids from inappropriate jobs. Completely overlooking the laws were created for a reason, not a theoretical situation.

Those in power make the laws, amend the Constitution, and interpret both as they see fit. Look at the 3/5 Compromise. Our error is that we weren't paying attention for decades and allowed them to gain so much traction.

Project 2025 was merely the next step of the agenda conservatives have been working on for 50+ years. He didn't need 900 pages to know what to do.

Same game plan that white supremacy has had success with for years. You'd think that folks would catch on, but alas....

And that she believed that because he said, "free IVF," it would automatically happen. There is a process to get anything concerning health care changed.

It seems to me that many of the people involved have as much experience with classified info as I do. I'm intrigued that their arrogance took them to this outcome because I would have been hesitant to talk about the weather anywhere in case that might be a problem.

Hearing you. I've done my and my parents' taxes for a while. I've recognized that I will owe more taxes, increased withholding and folks acted like I was crazy. You have to get how it works.

I recently bought new trimmers that work SO much better than I thought was possible. I don't know if technology has improved or if my old one was a cheap one. Might be worth giving it a shot.

Most people I talk to simply compare how much of a tax refund they get from year to year to conclude if their taxes went up. When I explain that is the amount they overpayed and they could change that by changing the amount their job withholds just makes them mad.

Seriously. I want people that have more experience than I do on the topic. I'm not asking my dermatologist about a brain tumor and these people seem to know even less.

I hear what you're saying. Something that troubles me is that women STILL receive inferior healthcare caused by underrepresentation in studies, but because we're use to it, it's fine. So yeah, maybe let's worry about that first....
March 10, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Your adament on spending money on double blind studies before allowing trans women in women's sports, but it's simply sad that cis-women are underrepresented across the board? It hints that you're comfortable with marginalized people being treated as less.

Are you skipping the lower quality healthcare women receive? www.aamc.org/news/why-we-...
Why we know so little about women’s health
Before 1993, women were rarely included in clinical trials. Today, the medical field still doesn’t know how well many drugs and devices work for women.

In the NCAA, there are less than 10 trans athletes (men & women) out of 510,000. Are you proposing that we should just discriminate against a handful of people? Or should all that money be spent on such a small issue instead of all the treatment ciswomen receive based on studies based on cismen?
