You mean there are anarchists working for free? Anarchisting without billing it? That is outrageous! What does the anarchist union say about that?

Trump talks about wanting to recreate the gilded age (late nineteenth century) so a resonable guess is that they will be treated the same way all American natives were treated in those days.

”Highly paid agitators and anarchists”.

What is the salary for a decent anarchist these days?

Happened to my account several times. Criticize Musk and Trump and your account is inevitable locked after a while. They pretend to come up with an excuse, but it’s obvious what triggers it.

Seems this story isn’t 100% true. Could be just russian missinformation.

US-market is rather big in Sweden. USA is the third largest market. 9% of the exports go there.
Still I would say that under these circumstances I look forward to them. We will sell elsewhere and we will live gladly without american goods. Lots of people boycott US goods since spring anyway.

Are you saying he is shielded from the truth? That’s just the reason he acts as he does is because others are manipulating him? I won’t give him that excuse.
January 17, 2026 at 11:25 PM
This is corruption on an absolute third world country level. It’s incomprehensible that USA doesn’t have mechanisms to prevent it. A president shouldn’t even be allowed to do any kind of stock market investments during his term. Allowing it is asking for corruption.

Either that or invasion plans for Greenland. Trump prefers to play his real life game of Civilization to having to actually do his job of being president.

USA is inexperienced when it comes to what happens right now. Democracy is taken for given. Other countries have other experiences and react differently to a crisis like this.
Whatever is done, don’t assume things work themselves out. Don’t forget that all power comes from the people.

Everyone is free to believe what they think will work.

What we know is that Trump is sensitive to what large business tell him. GOP is sensitive to what happens to the economy.

So far, nothing indicates Trump gives a sh*t about demonstrations and large scale protests.
January 17, 2026 at 2:12 PM
There are a few options:

1. Wait and hope that the whole thing sort itself out through midterm elections
2. Protests and hope the administration bothers and listen to protestors
3. Protests combined with showing of force, such as boycotts and actions that strike at economy.
January 17, 2026 at 2:12 PM
I believe all americans who oppose Trump should refuse to go to work and refuse shopping, exept for the absolutely necessary. The should park their car in the nearest freeway exit and leve it there.
Choke the infrastructure, choke the economy and choke businesses. Put real force behind protests.

No, absolutely. I didn’t mean that this boat was a viking boat. It wasn’t. 1066 is the most commin year for the viking age end. In Sweden some times a bit later. Baltics and Finland 12th century could still be called viking age. But 15th, no way.
January 17, 2026 at 9:43 AM
Very nitpicky, but the arrival of christianity has little to do with the end of the viking age. Lots of vikings were in fact christians.

Why are newspapers even attending these “press conferences“? And why does journalists bother to ask questions?
January 16, 2026 at 12:18 PM
You got to be pretty damn useless if not even AfD wants to be your friend.
But I guess it boils down to the absurdity of nationalists bonding together internationally. In the end their aims are contradictory.

If the constitution is obsolete to Trump, then it’s up to Minnesota to decide if it’s obsolete for them as well.

Everyday that goes by we feel less and less like allies. Already it’s more or less by name only. You’re on your own now.

It’s no difference from selling an olympic medal. Owning the medal doesn’t make you the receiver of the award.
January 15, 2026 at 9:55 PM
What a couple! He’s absolutely pathetic for wanting somebody else’s award. And she’s pathetic as well for sucking up so desperately to that looser.

Hard to know if you are sarcastic or not. But the are both germanic languages. Of course a lot of words are similar. Besides, England was danish once so some loan words from norse still exist.

Being Denmarks closest neighbour I can honestly say that there is not a second of hesitation when it comes down to the conflict between USA and Denmark. A military escalation may be a given loss and It would destroy NATO, but an ally that is so treacherous and unreliable isn’t worth anything anyway.
January 14, 2026 at 12:02 PM
Sadly, I must admit you may be right. Europe acts like a beaten wife, trying to mend the relationship while suffering abuse upon abuse.

Who knows, maybe there is another Trump. And that other Trump knows another guy called Epstein. And the other Trump hangs out with the other Epstein, just like pedo Epstein hanged out with president Trump. Who knows, it’s perfectly possible.
